After the Worldcoin Foundation allocated approximately $700 million to Wormhole Labs, Worldcoin’s World ID will be integrated into Solana ecosystem.
World ID is a core component of the Worldcoin project. By the Worldcoin Orb to scan people’s eyes, iris codes are generated to create a world ID. This process aims to verify “identity” and that users are not robots.
verified, users can use the World application, which allows them to share messages while maintaining the privacy of their personal data through an identity verification system. The World application also features an encrypted wallet that enables users to store Bitcoin, Ethereum, and US.
To revive momentum for the project, the Worldcoin Foundation has launched a grant program rewards over 830 million WLD tokens to support various initiatives.

Wormhole facilitates data and asset transfers across multiple countries’ blockchains including Solana, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain. This integration will bring initial developments on Ethereum and Optimism onto Solana.
The Wormhole integration will allow for verification of relevant world IDs initially validated in Ethereum based on Solana through new Solana smart contracts utilizing Wormhole Queries ( cross-chain data indexing service).
