Coinbase Ventures, the investment arm of the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, Coinbase, has made a significant investment in Aerodrome Finance (AERO). According to data from the crypto analytics platform Nansen, Coinbase Ventures acquired AERO tokens after Aerodrome Finance announced the market purchase of its own tokens.
The wallet address associated with Coinbase Ventures indicates that the company has purchased over 4.7 million AERO tokens, valued at approximately $2.7 million. The wallet address confirms the current investments made by Coinbase Ventures, which are now part of the broader ecosystem of Aerodrome Finance. All tokens purchased by Coinbase Ventures will remain within this ecosystem.
This strategic move has significantly increased the value of AERO tokens, which have seen a growth of over 500%. Despite an 18% increase in the past week, the tokens experienced a slight decline of 1% in the last 24 hours.
This investment is also connected to the Base ecosystem fund, managed by Coinbase Ventures, which previously acquired AERO tokens.
