Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin recently stated that the BRICS alliance is a good choice for Serbia. Vulin noted that the BRICS countries will not make demands on Serbia, but can provide more assistance than Serbia desires. The BRICS alliance includes countries such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Ethiopia, Iran, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. Vulin emphasized that his intention is not to compare the BRICS alliance with the European Union, but rather to highlight that Serbia has viable alternative options. He expressed his belief that the EU is nearing its end. Additionally, Vulin stated that joining the BRICS alliance does not impose ultimatums on Serbia to pass laws that violate its national principles, nor does it concede to non-governmental organizations. Furthermore, Vulin clarified that being a member of the BRICS alliance does not mean that Serbia must impose sanctions on any country or change its foreign policy.
